My own orthodontic journey taught me just how transformative dental care can be, and it’s why I’m so passionate about guiding patients through their own smile journeys.
At the Studio, we take the time to truly understand your goals and involve you in every step of the process, from designing your smile to the final reveal. Seeing my patients light up when they see their new smile for the first time is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Outside of dentistry, I’m a lifelong rugby league fan and a loyal supporter of the New Zealand Warriors - through wins, losses, and everything in between.

Dr. Rob is the Principal Dentist at the Cosmetic & Implant Studio, bringing over 20 years of experience and a passion for creating natural, beautiful smiles that inspire confidence.
After graduating from the University of Otago in 2004, Dr. Rob began his career as a house surgeon at Auckland Hospital, where he gained invaluable experience in complex and emergency dental care.
Driven by his commitment to excellence in cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Rob completed a Graduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the University of Melbourne in 2021 and is proud to be one of only a handful of Digital Smile Design (DSD) Masters in Australia. This advanced certification allows Dr. Rob to combine artistry, precision, and technology, giving patients the opportunity to preview and co-design their new smiles before treatment begins.
With expertise in smile transformations, implant dentistry, and biomimetic techniques that prioritise minimally invasive care, Dr. Rob’s approach blends cutting-edge innovation with a deep focus on patient trust and collaboration.

What I love most about my role is combining cutting-edge technology with the artistry of hand-finishing restorations to bring a smile to life. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a patient’s joy when they see their new smile - it’s a moment that reminds me why I do what I do.
One case I’ll never forget involved a patient whose previous dental work left her afraid to smile or even eat comfortably. Collaborating with Dr. Rob, we meticulously crafted restorations designed to match her facial features and natural bite. Seeing her confidence return and hearing that she could finally enjoy a sandwich again was a moment I’ll always cherish.
Outside of work, I’m always exploring ways to integrate technology into my craft—though I also enjoy the simplicity of hands-on finishing, where years of experience make all the difference.

What I love most about being the Patient Coordinator is supporting our patients every step of the way. Whether it’s answering questions, scheduling treatments, or being your single point of contact throughout the process, I’m here to make the journey as easy and enjoyable as possible.
Seeing the joy on a patient’s face after their smile transformation - sometimes even happy tears - is the most rewarding part of my role.
I grew up in rural Victoria and followed in my mum’s footsteps into dentistry. My love for this field has only grown since joining the team at Ashburton Family Dental in 2018.
