We are always delighted to welcome new patients to Ashburton Family Dental. On your first visit, we know that you will want to discuss your wants and needs and we will take the time to find these out.
We will discuss your past dental experiences to discover anything we need to learn in relation to your future care. This is a two-way conversation in which we find out your concerns about your mouth. When you are happy that we have discussed all these points, we will then examine your mouth.

Before your visit, we’ll either send you a new patient form or you can download the form here. Please complete the forms and bring them along to your appointment. To assist us in providing the most appropriate treatment, you may wish to request for a copy of your relevant dental records to be sent to us via this Release Of Records Form.

Dr Robert Ong
Graduating from the University of Otago in 2004, Dr Ong worked as a dental house surgeon at Auckland Hospital in New Zealand from 2005, before being invited to be joint Practice Principal of Ashburton Family Dental in 2011. Dr Ong has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry. Read more
Dr Sheena Hall
Born and raised in England, Dr Hall relocated with her family to Australia, graduating from The University of Melbourne with a BDSc in 1983. A Fellow of The Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons, Dr Hall has practiced dentistry in both England and Australia, and is registered with the UK’s General Dental Council. Read more
Dr Charlotte Marriot-Smith
Dr Marriot-Smith was born and raised in country Victoria and completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide. She has recently moved to Melbourne after working in Adelaide. Read more
